This collective vision resulted in ground-breaking research on medical innovation, patient safety, health care spending and health care information technology, which has influenced significant national health policy changes.
Wendy held executive positions at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center (UCSF). She directed national demonstration programs for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Kaiser Family Foundation and serves on the boards of many philanthropic, corporate and non-profit organizations. She also was the Vice Chair for the Massachusetts Health Policy Commission, an independent state agency that monitors the reform of health care delivery and payment systems in Massachusetts, providing a model for the nation.
Wendy earned two bachelor of science degrees and holds master’s and doctoral degrees in health policy and management from Harvard University.
